Our developers work collaboratively to solve various business problems and develop programming strategies on best development practices. The candidate should be experienced with full life cycle Java development.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Design, implement and maintain Java application phases.<br \/>\n-Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.<br \/>\n-Write well designed, testable, efficient code.<br \/>\n-Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.<br \/>\n-Recommend changes to improve established Java application processes.<br \/>\n-Prepare and produce releases of software components.<br \/>\n-Develop application code for Java programs.<br \/>\n-Develop and execute unit test plans.<br \/>\n-Support formal testing and resolve test defects.<br \/>\n-Provide technical support and consultation for Java application and infrastructure questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>-Related working experience in the IT field, consulting experience is a plus<br \/>\n-Strong in Core Java &amp; J2EE<br \/>\n-Direct experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop is a plus<br \/>\n-Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies such as Hibernate<br \/>\n-Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and effectively in a cross-functional team environment<br \/>\n-Strong interpersonal skills<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Steps <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are tired of working on the same project year after year, are local to the northern Virginia\/Washington DC area or are looking to relocate and are looking for a new challenge, send a quick email to our Hiring Manager, Sarah, (slongwell@solutionstreet.com) along with your resume.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description As a Java Developer with Solution Street, you will be responsible for delivering high performance, client specific web based applications.
